Nature of the company
Upholstery fabric and carpet weaving mill with own yarndying facilities. Lantal is a well-known brand in the aviation and ground transportation industry. The customers include over 250 airlines and all of the major aircraft and seat manufacturers, more than 150 public transportation systems and coach operators, all well-known coach and seat manufacturers, more than 80 railway companies and most railway and seat manufacturers.

On the company’s history
Lantal Textiles has been specialized in textiles for commercial aviation since 1954. The first customer was the Dutch airline KLM. The plant in Rural Hall NC/USA and the sales office in Bellevue WA/USA were founded in 1972. Comitted to excellence, we have a FAA-authorized laboratory since 1978 and a quality management system certified to ISO 9001 since 1992.

Products and services

  • Aviation: Flame-retardant upholstery fabrics of wool/PA or Trevira CS, carpets, drapery, velvets, leather, headrests and low heat release wall tapestries. Functional fabric Climatex® LifeguardFR™ for climate controlled seating – FR stands for flame-retardant – in licence from Rohner Textil AG, a subsidiary of Lantal Textiles.

  • Ground transportation: durable high-quality velvets, upholstery fabrics and carpets in wool and synthetic fibres.
