The company’s history
Originally the major production line was wool for the apparel industry, before production for the office furniture market began in 1968. The first customer was Giroflex, Brazil.
Today, Lady is the leading supplier of textiles for the office furniture industry in Brazil, supplying fabrics mainly for refits of offices, banks, auditoriums, etc. Wool is basically still the major raw material used, but polyester and olefins are also used today. In 1999 Lady signed a technical agreement to manufacture and market the first generation of Climatex® to the office furniture industry. The launching of the first product line to Giroflex started in the fall of 2000.
